Some horses fight the joint, not the rider. They chew, throw the head, never quite soften — because a single break in the mouthpiece pinches and crowds the tongue. The MB03 answers with one smooth, ported bar and a low rise over the tongue: no nutcracker, no pinch, just even, quiet contact and room to swallow. We tried a wall of comfort bits on the fussy, joint-shy horses in our circle, and kept coming back to this one: a low port that frees the tongue, a solid bar with no nutcracker, and a copper inlay that keeps the mouth soft. We're bringing it into the house because it earned its place — not to fill a gap.

Rinse and dry after each ride; an occasional polish keeps it bright. The copper inlay may develop a patina with use — this is normal, and part of why horses accept it. The stainless body and rings are maintenance-free, and outlast years of riding.
